The Notre Dame Liturgical Choir is the primary choir at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, singing for the 10:00 Mass on Sunday mornings, as well as various important University and community events throughout the year. The Choir also travels annually, sharing their music with people around the United States and the world. Notre Dame Day is also a great opportunity to follow the Liturgical Choir on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ndlitchoir/?fref=ts) or on Twitter (@TYAJM)! The LIVE Notre Dame Day broadcast will kick-off at 18:42 pm ET (6:42 pm ET) on April 24 at NOTREDAMEDAY.ND.EDU. The 29-hour broadcast will showcase Notre Dame stories from around the world, as well as live interviews, special musical performances (one of which is by us!), remotes, in-studio performances and surprise celebrity guests. Please spread the word and help us earn votes! Follow the celebration on social media with #NDday.
Your generosity in donations and votes will help the Liturgical Choir raise funds for two major projects during the 2016-2017 academic year. The first is our annual tour. In January of 2017, we will be traveling to California, making appearances in Orange County and San Francisco. The second major project is a new, professional recording of the choir to be produced during the spring semester. It will heavily feature the brand new Murdy Family Organ being built and installed by the Fritts Organ Company during the coming months.
Donations and votes are an integral source of income for the Choir. We rely on your help and support to raise the funds for the important work we do for the University. By donating to and voting for the Liturgical Choir, you are ensuring that young musicians at Notre Dame are able to praise God through song for years to come.
