Getting Your Cause Ready for Notre Dame Day

To make the most of ND Day, you’ll want to complete the Giving Day checklist in GiveGab. This checklist walks you through the key steps to build a strong, donor-ready page.

Goal: Complete the checklist before giving begins on March 19

Donation Levels

Donation Levels are “Call to Action” buttons that suggest a donation amount to your donors as soon as they land on your campaign page. They greatly influence how much donors give.

Adding Fundraisers

Peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising is one of the easiest ways to multiply your impact on Notre Dame Day. Instead of relying on one main page to do all the work, P2P fundraising lets individual supporters create their own fundraising pages for a cause and share them with their networks, like friends, family, classmates, coworkers, alumni groups, dorm group chats, and social media.

Challenge Fund

Notre Dame Day includes a $250,000 Challenge Fund that is shared across causes based on how many unique donors give to each cause.

Think of it like a pie. Every unique donor helps your cause earn a bigger slice.

Matches & Challenges

Matching or challenge incentives encourage donors to give more by “unlocking” additional funds for your cause. On average, offering a match increases a donor’s likelihood of giving by 22% and boosts donation amounts by 19%.

Understanding the Prize Matrix

The Challenge Matrix is your guide to all the challenges your cause is eligible for during ND Day. It helps you quickly see where you can maximize opportunities to win extra funding.

ND Listens Calling Event

ND Listens is an easy way to connect with last year’s donors in a thoughtful, personal way. If your cause opts in, you’ll get the chance to call donors who gave last year but haven’t made a gift yet this year to:
Say thank you for their past support
Invite them to support your cause again this year

Thank You Notes

All causes are encouraged to send thank-you notes to their donors as a meaningful way to steward and show appreciation for those who supported them during Notre Dame Day.
