Siegfried Hall
Our Story
Dear friends and alumni of Siegfried Hall,
Siegfried Hall continues to be a place where students grow together and lifelong friendships are formed.
This ND Day, which takes place from April 23-24th, the entire Siegfried Rambler family would be greatly honored by your contribution to making Siegfried an even more welcoming, fun, and joyful home for all members of the Rambler community!
This year, the Siegfried community has come together in more than a few special ways. In the fall semester, we gathered for our retreat at the Sacred Heart Parish Center focused on brotherhood and belonging. We had a very successful SYR, themed “Snowmen on the Beach.” This spring semester, our community came together for the annual Day of Man. The Ramblers went out in t-shirts and flip flops to stand in solidarity with the homeless population of South Bend and to raise funds for the South Bend Center for the Homeless. This year, thanks in part to your help, we raised $32,634.61! We were able to cap off our “Siggy Week” with a fantastic formal in the Dahnke Family Ballroom. Finally, the 10 P.M. Siggy Mass and post-Mass social continue to be great (and lively!) ways for us to come together as a community.
The many generous donors to Siegfried Hall last year helped us purchase a new grill, which we used regularly on Friday afternoons during the fall, and a Peloton bike, which has been a huge hit in the short time we have had it! This year, by making a gift to Siegfried Hall for ND Day 2024, you are helping make the dorm experience even more special. Currently, we are planning to utilize your contributions for the following initiatives.
1. In following the lead of other halls, we hope to design and display a banner on the west side of the hall to not only serve as a point of pride for the community but also serve as a marker to the rest of campus that we are the best dorm on campus!
2. To continue to beautify our patio area, especially as we have used it more after the purchase of our new grill, we hope to purchase light strings to enhance our outdoor gathering space. Similar to the library lawn’s setup during the 2020-2021 school year, we hope these lights will provide a great place to gather at all times of day.
3. Due to a mishap in the weight room in the fall, we plan to purchase a new mirror. Such an addition will ensure the Ramblers will continue to stay in peak physical condition to continue our reign of interhall sports supremacy!
4. We will hold our first-ever Siggy Shark Tank for the Ramblers to pitch even more exciting ideas to hall staff “sharks” to further enhance relationships and community in the Hall of Champions!
Words cannot describe our appreciation for your support of the mission of Siegfried Hall! We love hearing from past resident Ramblers! If you want to reminisce about your favorite Siegfried memories, please reach out to us at mdavis25@nd.edu. You can also see what we are up to on our Instagram @siegfriedramblers. We hope to see you on campus soon!
